What is GlowStickWars.com?
In short, GlowStickWars.com is a new social media website dedicated to celebrating the live music experience. Think of it like a social network centered around the photos and videos that fans capture at concerts - the kicker is that all 'albums' can be sorted by artist, date, venue, etc. making it super easy to find and share the show you're after. What is a glow stick war?
A glow stick war is a live music phenomenon. Typically during a peak or a jam, audience members will begin to throw hundreds or thousands of glow sticks into the air to the rhythm of the music. As hundreds of glow sticks fall to the ground, hundreds more are picked up and tossed, creating a perpetual flow of glow. A glow stick war is the crowd coming together to share the show in a visual and spectacular way.

What are Show Sticks?
Show Sticks are a new brand of glow sticks that have been designed by and for concert fans to use safely at shows. Thick, heavy glow sticks are dangerous to use for glow stick wars. Show Sticks are slim, lightweight, 8” glow sticks that glide through the air creating an amazing effect without the danger of thick glow rods. Show Sticks are sold in recyclable tubes of 100, and a portion of every sale is donated to The Mockingbird Foundation.

What is The Mockingbird Foundation?
The Mockingbird Foundation is a certified not-for-profit organization started by Phish fans in 1996. To date they have raised over $600,000 to support musical education for children across the country. They do such amazing work and we are proud to help in any way we can. www.mbird.org

I already share my photos on a different site, why should I share them here?
GlowStickWars.com is a project started for the benefit of music fans everywhere. We are amassing the largest database of fan-captured concert photography and video on the planet. The goal is to be able to browse or search for any concert that has occurred and instantly find hundreds of photos from that experience – without having to sift through uncle John’s hunting pics.

Why should I favorite another user or their content?
This will store this user or their content in the My Favorites section of your profile. May we suggest favoriting shows that you’ve attended, or favoriting your favorite shows to listen to? Favoriting other users will give you easy access to their content.

How do I share a video?
Currently, we support video sharing through YouTube and Vimeo. If you have videos that are shared on either of those sites, you can copy and paste the Embed Code when you share a show on GlowStickWars.com.

How do I limit how much personal information I share on my profile?
Just click the “Edit My Profile” link in your profile and access the “My Privacy Settings” tab. Here you can change what information is displayed on your profile and many other settings.
